About this book
Lieutenant Luc Greiner is a pilot. But he is also Prince Lucien of Monaco who has been called home to take his rightful place as heir to the throne. He is also commanded to settle down and marry a woman with the right bloodlines.
Faced with the loss of his freedom, he makes one last incognito trip to Las Vegas, where he meets Hannah, a gorgeous and down-to-earth woman. They have chemistry, but how will Hannah react when she finds out who Luc really is?
Book review
This is a fairytale story of commoner meets prince, with the entire story told in Luc’s point of view.
I found the progress of the story moving a bit too quickly and rather unbelievable – Hannah returns to Monaco with Luc within a week of meeting him! In real life (even a fairly dramatic one) this would not happen. Realistically speaking, there should have been a lot more getting to know each other and testing of Hannah’s reaction after she finds out he’s a prince. Hannah seems to reach the decision to uproot her life to move to Monaco too easily, simply because she likes Luc and has a good time with him. To be honest, if I were Luc I might question Hannah’s intentions when she seems so easily persuaded to relocate.
It would be interesting to have a story for Luc’s brother Sebastien, the serious and brooding crown prince.
Overall an easy read with little angst, albeit with a rather questionable plot development.
